With about 180 million people, Brazil is a country of gigantic dimensions. Its territorial extension includes more than 8,5 million of km2, covering almost half (47,3%) of South America’s area. We are the 5th in size in the world and the largest in Latin America.
Our Atlantic shore includes more than 4.500 miles of pristine beaches and islands, attracting millions of tourists delighted with the natural beauty of our country. Land, sea and mountains harmonically coexist as a unique spectacle.
Both the Equator and the Tropic of Capricorn cross our territory. The largest part of our country lays in lower latitudes, granting Brazil all the characteristics of a tropical country. |
