Breast Reduction
Also known as mastopexy, mastoplasty, or reductive mammaplasty, this type of plastic surgery improves the breasts shape and prevents column or posture problems.
Who can have a breast reduction? Women with large, heavy, uneven breasts, who usually suffer from back or posture problems.
What is a breast reduction for? To reduce and improve the shape of the breasts, smoothing out their appearance.
How is a breast reduction performed? Through and incision in the form of “T”, “L” or “I”, depending on the shape of the breast, to remove the mammal tissue, the skin, the extra fat, and to reposition the areola.
What about breast reduction scars? The type of incision done will depend on the shape of the breasts, the surgeon’s recommendation, and finally the patient's preference. Regardless of the technique chosen, the incisions will be carefully done on strategic spots so that scars will be practically invisible.
