Catedral Metropolitana de Fortaleza [ Fortaleza Metropolitan Cathedral ] Built to replace the antique Igreja da Sé [ Sé Church ], it took 40 years to be finished, in 1978. It has 5.000 seats and its towers go up to 75 meters. The ecletic style project has the predominance of gothic and roman elements and with references to the Colony Cathedral in Germany and very similar to the Chartres Cathedral in France.
